Joint venture consortiumsJoint venture consortiums, are run by collections of partners. They are set up by a packager, and have to be approved by an organization representing those who are taking up these opportunities. Many are clubs projects and businesses that have been built under the New Atlantis philosophy, and now packaged to make the opportunities more widely available. In most cases partners in these will be able to run them part time to fit in with their other commitments, employment etc. An exchange will allow partners to swap or sell their partnerships later.We are responsible for the implementation of this to the New Atlantis family, and our role is mostly as the regulator. The lead role in this has been franchised to Property Club International (PCI), being the representative organization who all who take up these opportunities will belong to. They have to look at and approve all offerings and supervise the registration of partnerships and the exchange. We retain certain rights and they need our approval to move too far from an agreed model. They are not permitted to be a packager. Packagers, put together consortiums, and anyone can be a packager, providing they can get approval from Property Club International (PCI), which is based upon soundness of project, value for money and quality as well as limiting overlap. Self Build LLC is one packager and lead service provider, they have been given the task of packaging a large number of areas of New Atlantis, clubs, companies and more to offer as consortiums. They have also been asked by PCI to maintain the exchange website with new projects available and the access to the exchange.
